Garden Farm

Vegetables

Health, skills and fun!

The beauty of Garden Farm is that its not just about food, it will also be a venue for the community to get together and share activities, a place for learning new skills like growing fruit and veg, keeping poultry and much more. There will also be lots of educational, social and volunteering opportunities on the farm too, and inclusiveness will be key to all farms activities.

When, where, how?

Garden Farm is still just in the planning but we have a strong vision for what we want to achieve. So if you’d like to pledge support for the idea and be kept in touch with this exciting new local food initiative please click here or call or email us and we will keep you updated. Also if you like the idea please spread the word.

As well as pledges of support in the idea if you would like to volunteer some time to help make the farm a reality we’d love to hear from you too. Thank you for taking an interest and we hope we’ll be able to welcome you to Garden Farm Potton very soon.

The vision for Garden Farm is a community farm, where people like you can become producer-shareholders rather than just consumers, connecting directly with the place where your food is produced, having a say about how the farm is run and ensuring that your food has travelled foot feet rather than food miles.

The model is very simple, by selling monthly shares in the farms produce we can guarantee an annual income and therefore create and sustain local jobs, grow high quality high welfare food for the shareholders at a very reasonable price and enhance and enrich our local environment.

In return for the cost of a monthly share of around £30, you will receive a weekly allocation of vegetables dependant on the seasons plus we also plan to offer a monthly meat and poultry box too.

All the food grown for Garden Farm will be done locally and following the organic system. Garden Farm will support local smallholders and growers as well as provide high quality produce for local retailers. We will be part of a strong local food network delivering sustainable and high quality food to the community.
